Course tracker
Configuring the module
The coursetracking module can be added in a Moodle course such as any other activity.
Module's configuration needs considering a set of parameters.
Module parameters
Enabling
Enables/disables all captures and all markers that are assigned to this instance in the course.
Markers are not generated in the student's side content.
Visibility
Marker are not visible in the course content, teacher's side.
This option was done for clen printouts of the content.
Title
Tracking instance name.
Description
A free text for explaining tracking opportunity, behaviour and usage. This text is shown in module
viewing screens.
Capture range limitation
The capture range allows adjusting the time period the markers will capture events. Markers appear in student content only if :
- The capture range limitation is disabled,
- Capture range start is enabled and current date is later than start date,
- Capture range end is enabled and current date is former end date,
- Both bounds are enabled and current date is in range.
Compiling range limitation
You may also use some limitation for the event you want to be used in reports. Set the range just as above. Range bounds are constrainted in above range.
Link label to graphs
We mentioned in README the way to get a link at bottom of a resource page that links to a local report for this resource. This parameter allows changing the label for that link. Note that in case of multiple instances of a tracker in a course, each tracker may publish its link at the resource view bottom.
Groupe mode
The coursetracking module uses group mode to alter some viewing strategy.
- no group: students will only see their own covering reports.
- hidden groups: students may access compilation for their current group.
- visibles groups: students see the covering reports compiled for all the course participants.
Visibility (students)
This option must be set to "Show" (as any activity) for the students to access to reports. Hiding the module will not disable tracking activity if preceding configuration allows it.
